Privacy Policy
This policy explains what KEAM Prep collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website and the KEAM Prep application.
What we collect
On this website, without an account:
- Aggregate, non-identifying traffic data — page views, referrer, country, and broad device type. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not build advertising profiles.
- Anything you choose to send us by email.
- Early-access signups — if you ask for an invite, the name, email address, phone number and exam year you enter go to a form hosted by Google, and are held there until we contact you. Google's own privacy policy applies to that form. We use those details to send your invite and nothing else, and we do not pass them to anyone.
In the application, when you create an account:
- Account details — name, email address, target exam year, and a parent or guardian email where one is provided.
- Study activity — the questions you attempt, your answers, time taken, and the chapter-level accuracy derived from them. This is the data that makes the plan adaptive; without it the product cannot work.
- Payment records — subscription status and invoices. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment processor and never stored on our systems.
Why we collect it
- To generate and continuously re-tune your study plan.
- To show you and, where enabled, your parent or guardian your progress.
- To run accounts, subscriptions and support.
- To improve the product in aggregate — which questions are unclear, which are too easy.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use student answer data to train models offered to anyone else.
Students under 18
Most of our users are school students, and many are minors. Where a user is under 18, an account must be created or approved by a parent or legal guardian, and we ask for a guardian email at signup. A parent or guardian may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's data by writing to hello@keamprep.app.
Parent-facing summaries deliberately report progress at chapter and week level rather than exposing every individual attempt.
Cookies and local storage
This website stores one item in your browser's local storage — your light or dark theme choice. It is not a cookie, is never sent to our servers, and identifies nobody. The application additionally sets a session cookie required to keep you logged in.
How long we keep it
Study history is kept for as long as your account exists, because the value of the plan comes from long-run history. If you stop paying, nothing is deleted — the account continues at the free limit. If you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days, retaining only anonymised, non-identifying question statistics and whatever financial records Indian tax law requires us to keep.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate.
- Delete your account and its personal data.
- Export your study history in a machine-readable format.
Write to hello@keamprep.app and a person will respond. We aim to answer within seven working days.
Who else touches the data
We use third-party providers for hosting, email delivery, payment processing and error monitoring. Each has access only to what its function requires, and each is bound by contract to protect it. We will name our current processors on request.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for account holders, notify you by email before the change takes effect.
